These Terms of Service ("Terms") are an agreement between you and Lanka Grocery Insights ("we", "us", "our"), the publisher of the Bill Eka mobile app and its web version (together, the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.
You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live if that is higher, and able to enter into a binding agreement. Bill Eka is intended for personal, non-commercial use.
Bill Eka lets you scan or upload supermarket receipts, uses AI to read them, and helps you track spending, set category budgets, compare prices you have paid, and plan shopping lists. Features may change over time.
Receipts are read by an AI service and can contain mistakes: a misread item, price, date or category. Always review the result before you save it. You are responsible for checking that the data you keep is correct.
Budgets, charts, price comparisons, deal indicators and shopping-list estimates are informational tools based on the data you provide. They are not financial, tax, legal or investment advice, and we do not guarantee they are accurate, complete or that any price shown is current in a store.
You keep ownership of the receipts, photos and other content you upload ("Your Content"). You give us a limited permission to store, process and display Your Content, including sending images to our AI provider to be read, solely to operate and improve the Service for you, as explained in the Privacy Policy. Only upload receipts and files you have the right to use, and don't upload anything unlawful.
Bill Eka is independent. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any supermarket or retailer. Store names are trademarks of their owners and are used only to describe the receipts the app can read.

We may limit or suspend access if we reasonably believe these rules are being broken.
The Service is currently free to use. We may introduce optional paid features or usage limits, such as a monthly subscription. If we do, the price, billing period and what is included will be shown clearly before you buy. Purchases made through Google Play are billed, managed and cancelled through Google Play, and its refund rules apply. Deleting your Bill Eka account does not cancel a Google Play subscription; you must cancel it in Google Play.
The Service relies on third parties, including Google (sign-in, Google Play and the Gemini AI service) and an SMS provider for one-time codes. Their terms apply to your use of their services, and we are not responsible for outages or changes on their side.
We work to keep the Service running but do not promise it will always be available or error-free. We may update, change or discontinue features. If we discontinue the Service, we will give reasonable notice where we can, and you will be able to export or delete your data.
You can stop using the Service and delete your account whenever you like. We may suspend or end your access if you break these Terms or misuse the Service. Sections that by their nature should continue (such as disclaimers and limits on liability) will continue after your account ends.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and accuracy of AI-read data.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses, or for loss of data, profits or savings, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us for the Service in the 12 months before the claim, or LKR 5,000. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or affects your legal rights as a consumer.
We may update these Terms. If a change is significant, we will tell you in the app or by another reasonable means before it takes effect. Continuing to use the Service after that means you accept the updated Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of Sri Lanka, and the courts of Sri Lanka have jurisdiction over disputes, subject to any mandatory consumer protections where you live.
